- Bob just got a wonderful new job last week, so he doesn't have any time off to be home with us. It's great timing and horrible timing all at once, but we're VERY thankful for this opportunity. So he went off to work this morning, leaving me alone with the 2 kiddos. Yikes...I'm totally outnumbered.
- Carter has a bad cold and can't even open his eyes. He needs to go to the pedi ASAP.
- The baby didn't sleep that well last night {but she's napping just fine now, of course!}
- The roofers are here fixing our garage roof, which means that I have a dog that is stuck in the house all day and he won't stop barking and whining at the roofers.

We ALL have colds over here and it sucks! Jake slept ok last night, Mady did not. I'm SO tempted to put everyone in the car and drive to Starbucks.
I am glad you are home!!! I hope Carter feels better soon!! Madison was sick last week, not fun!!

oh geez. hope you get that coffee ... i know how it goes! congratulations. Brynn is beautiful and Carter and she will be best buds! *hugs* try to nap while carter and brynn are napping - sounds silly but you need it!!!
Oh Jenni! Let me tell you- mine are 17 months apart. It took me a good month until I felt like I could handle them together alone. I still sent my DS to daycare so I could adjust to DD. Good luck!!!
Oh you poor thing! I hope Carter feels better soon. Not to freak you out, but Brock had a bad cold when we brought Lillian home... turned out to be RSV. Lilly caught it and 8 days after bringing her home, we spent the next 9 days in the hospital fighting the RSV that turned into pneumonia. Make sure you sanitize your hands in between holding babies. Don't let Carter kiss her face. :-( Bummer! I'm sure its nothing, but with a newborn and a sick toddler take extra precaution.
Hope you can get some help today while Bob is at work!
It could be worse! My first day home alone with both kids was also Grace's two week appt. at the Pedi and I locked her in the car. Thankfully, I had started it before loading the kids because it was the first week of AUGUST!
The AC was going full blast and she was sound asleep through the whole ordeal. I, on the other hand, was in tears and assuming they were going to take my kids away. It all worked out fine though. :)
It sounds like you not only need coffee--you need espresso!
Enjoy the quiet moments momma.
I highly recommend that you send Carter to daycare a few days a week. This is the best thing I did for myself and my 21-month-old son during maternity leave.
By the way, Brynn is adorable!
I hope you got that coffee and your day is going great! Does Carter go to any type of school? Maybe he could do that a few days to give you some time with Miss Brynn?
I hope Carter feels better. It's not fun being sick in the summer time!
Deep breaths! Hope Carter feels better and Brynn sleeps better tonight!
