Four letters that mean so much to any
Sleeping through the night.
I don't want to jinx it, but Brynn has been doing just that every night this week. STTN is technically defined as 5 hours of straight sleep a night.
Brynn's sleeping 6 hours straight.
And boy do we love it!
The 6 hours is usually from 10pm-4am every night. She'll then get up again around 6:30 or 7am to eat. Bob and I have been switching shifts... one will take 4am and the other will take 6:30/7am. It's so nice to get at least 6 hours of straight sleep a night. Not only that, but if you have the 6:30am shift, then you're basically getting a full nights sleep.
Now I know that this may be some sort of fluke... I mean, Brynn is only 6 weeks old. But, because it's happened for 6 nights straight, I figured it was safe to talk about it. I hope I don't eat my words.
After searching through my blog, I see that Carter started STTN at around the same age. Can we really get that lucky twice? Maybe it's some sort of reward for delivering monster babies?
I sure do hope so.
And now, why do I have this funny feeling that I will be posting tomorrow morning about her being up all night?

We were lucky too! Madison was sleeping through the night at around 6 weeks. She is still a GREAT sleeper!! I am so thankful!!
We are getting her 2 yr pics done tomorrow, so I will scan them asap and email them to you so you can finish working on her card. Thanks again so much!
xo,
Kelly
Yay Brynn!! But most importantly yay for you! I remember all those sleepless nights like it was yesterday.
Yay for you guys! Six nights doesn't sound like a fluke to me, girl. I hope she keeps it up. Briggy has given us 6 hours before but not for six nights in a row. I'll have him give Brynn a call and she can explain STTN to him :)
@ Kelly- Good! I was wondering ;)
@ Molly- I'll tell Brynn to give her boyfriend a call ;)
Isn't it so nice?? :) I too am afraid to jinx but it's been about a week straight as well. She's going from 9PM to 5AM and then back down until 9AM. She doesn't nap much during the day but oh well!
My daughter was sleeping through the night at 6 weeks to! It's such a nice feeling the first time you wake up and look at the clock and are surprised by the time. I hope she keeps it up!
Isn't that soooo amazing when they start sleeping through the night!!! Both of my kids started sleeping through the night around 6 weeks too.....pure bliss =)
My daughter Bridget is 8 wks on Monday and she's been STTN for the past five nights... I hate to jinx it myself but it's pretty amazing! She's on the same schedule, 10pm-4:30am, give or take, and it's just really really exciting. :) Here's hoping they keep it up!!
