Medifast | Week 18
Let me tell ya a little story...
Last fall, Bob and I cleaned out our closet from top to bottom in preparation for Brynn's Baptism {and ya know how everyone peeks into your closets, right? No? ...is that just me?} We ended up donating about 6-7 bags of clothes to Goodwill. At least 4 of those bags were mine. They were filled with clothes that I loved, but thought I'd never wear again. All those "small" shirts and size 6 & 8 pants that I never dreamed of fitting into again. I just about cried as Bob packed them up in the back of his truck and drove off to Goodwill.
Fast forward to March 2, 2011- the day I started Medifast. I set my goal at 30 pounds, in hopes of being somewhat close to my wedding weight {or what I felt was "healthy" for my height of 5'8.}
I'm going to be honest with you now... I never thought it would really work for me. I thought if I lost 10 pounds, I would be extremely happy. {Like literally jumping-up-and-down happy.} I mean, who doesn't want to lose 10 pounds?? That's one of the reasons why I decided to set my 3 reward goals for 10lbs at a time. It was always my intention to do just that... just try for 10. 30 is an overwhelming number... I always just wanted to concentrate on the next 10.
And here I sit, a mere 4 months from the day I began. A day that I had an incomprehensible number hanging over my head. 30.
...30...
3.
I have lost 27 pounds on Medifast. I am a success story. And I want my clothes back from Goodwill, damn it. {I keed, I keed. Sort of...}
Weight loss to date: -27 lbs {<- hey now!}

Congratulations! And way to go! I know you can do it! Keep up the great work. You're really an inspiration!
Way to go!! You're doing so good and so fast!
Congrats!!! You're doing great!!!
Congrats on your week and the total too! Even though you feel a little badly about the clothes you gave away, the best part is that you get to rebuild your wardrobe with new pieces! Yay for shopping! I did some cleaning out earlier this summer with this rule in mind: If I can remember that I owned it before I met my husband Mike(almost 6 years), it's out! It cut my post-baby summer wardrobe down quite a bit BUT now I pick out things to wear that I LOVE and not just like because it's hanging in my closet. Sort of less is more....and then I can shop to add in some cute new stuff.
Awesome! And nice reward ;) I am a coach whore myself.
