We have this song that we sing in our family. It's not the normal birthday song. It's a special one. On the morning of your birthday, you recieve a call from every family member singing this special song to you.

Now? It's not just my sisters and parents singing to me. It's my husband. It's my brother-in-laws. It's my nieces & nephews. It's my own babies.

And it makes me happy.

Now surely this song won't read as awesome as it truly is to hear in real life {especially when sung by all the kiddos} but I'll share it with you anyway.

It goes something like this.

Birthday girl. Birthday girl.
Jenni is a birthday girl.
Happy, happy, birthday girl.
Cause Jenni is a birthday girl!

And because birthday's are a GIGANTIC deal in our house {and always have been} this very special birthday song is also sung before your birthday {Jenni is an almost birthday girl} and after {Jenni is a day after birthday girl}.

Oh, don't judge. You know you want me to sing this song to you on your birthday ;)

Ya know... before I left the house this morning I did two things.

I changed everything over to my new Coach purse... ...and I randomly glanced at the clock. It was 7:09am. The exact time I was born. {Yep, 8.9.79 at 7:09am.}

And I immediately thought of my mom. =)

It's amazing how much more {yeah, I didn't think it was possible either} you appreciate your mom on your own birthday after you've had kids. And all that she went through on this day, 32 years ago. Especially since I was 10 pounds even and 24 inches long {that's 2 feet tall at birth, folks!} Born 2 days early, smack dab in the middle of my great-grandma and my grandma's birthday {both on my mom's side!} How cool is that? So, thanks mama. I love you so much!
