The kids had a blast. Carter could barely contain himself! Once he started seeing kids outside in their costumes, he grabbed the bowl of candy and sat in front of the door. {I immediately had flashbacks from last year's video.} He couldn't wait to hand it out to the trick or treaters in the neighborhood. Brynn loved it just as much, but only because she could easily access the candy to eat it herself!
We had dinner with both sets of parents and then got the kids dressed and headed out to trick or treat ourselves.
Carter did AWESOME. At every door he'd say "Argh, trick or treat!" It was the cutest. I also didn't mind that he wanted to hold my hand as we went from house to house =)
My little lady bug did awesome too. =)

After a few streets, the kiddos got tired. Carter got door-to-door service for a few houses, then we decided to head home and count our loot.
He just couldn't wait to dump out his treasure.
Instead of going through her treasure, Brynn wanted to sit on it. I tried to grab a picture, but she got up as soon as she saw a Reese's Cup in Carter's candy pile ;)

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! What's everyone up too? We're headed to our 3rd wedding in 4 weekends on Saturday night, then my mom is hosting a family dinner on Sunday {I love those... they make me happy} and I can finally hold my brand new niece Reesie Girl again! She came at the perfect time... she must've of known everyone could use a little happy that week. ;)
