Zappos.com Mother's Day Giveaway!

So, did you know that Zappos.com sells jewelry?  Me either!  Well, until now.

I was so excited when they contacted me about hosting a Mother's Day giveaway, because I don't know any one else, in the entire world, who has a more difficult job.

And us mama's?  Well, we deserve some jewelry.

I was so excited to receive this beautiful Dogeared Mom Sparkle Necklace. I'm usually not a fan of gold jerwelry, but I'm really starting to open up to it {I now have 3 gold necklaces.  Ahem.  ...that's a lot for my silver/white gold/platinum-loving self} and this gorgeous Dogeared necklace is a lovely addition to my little collection.  It's so simple and delicate, and I just love the subtleness of it.

It comes in a pretty little box with an adorable special saying that any mom would love...

I mean? So cute.

I'm actually wearing it today {with silver earrings.... shhhh, I haven't expanded my gold-horizons past necklaces yet} and I've received quite a few compliments on it.
See what I mean about it being subtle?  That's my favorite part about it.  And then the sparkles catch your eye and it just looks so pretty.

Would you like a gold-dipped Dogeared Mom Sparkle Necklace of your very own?  Enter the giveaway below!

{Keep in mind that you will not receive this necklace before Mother's Day... please get your butt up and buy your wonderful mom a gift and give this to her as an added bonus later. Or? Keep it for yourself. ;}

Good luck and Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas out there!

Amy Kathryn Bags Giveaway!

Hi and welcome JFTB & Daily Mom readers!  You guys will certainly love what I'm about to share!

{Wait, you've already skipped down to the pretty bag pictures, haven't you? Okay.}

Some of you might have heard of the new online magazine, Daily Mom, that just launched last month. It's an amazing resource of posts and articles for the modern woman and mom. Imagine Pinterest worthy posts with useful information about all aspects of life - from parenting to beauty, fashion, green living, health, fitness, and more. Once you visit Daily Mom, you will be hooked - jumping from one post to another.

I have partnered with Daily Mom to host one of their giveaways as a part of an extensive 50 Days of Giveaways campaign to celebrate their launch. For 50 days, they will be giving away one awesome prize a day to thank their new readers. So today we're giving an opportunity for one lucky reader to win a $50 gift card from AmyKathryn.

So pretty, right?

AmyKathryn bags are designed with the modern mom in mind. The AmyKathryn bags have large, versatile pockets, matching changing pads available for purchase and are made in bright colors and bold patterns. The designs are fun, and do not scream, "I'm a diaper bag!" like most brands do. Best of all? Once your child is out of the diaper bag needing phase, you can easily re-purpose these bags as a large purse, tote, or laptop bag. Be sure to check out their products on their website, and follow their Facebook and Twitter for updates. And of course, enter to win it below. Read the Daily Mom feature about the AmyKathryn Gladiola Cobalt by Writer Megan and see the adorable photos that she took of her baby with the bag!
The giveaway will run for a week, and there are only two mandatory entries with many optional ones. All you have to do is follow the directions below in the Rafflecopter widget. This giveaway is open internationally. And be sure to visit Daily Mom tomorrow to see what new item they are giving away and to enter previous drawings! The prizes range from strollers to high chairs, monitors, diaper bags, fashion items, baby clothing and photography products. There is something for everyone.

Datevitation Giveaway

Datevitation.com is the web's first online platform to create a custom love coupon book. Unlike the pre-packaged love coupon books on the market, you pick the dates and can customize the text to your liking. Once you are done customizing the text in your book, Datevitation will print it out and ship it to you in a ready-to-gift box.

When I was contacted about this review & giveaway, I got excited because I knew that I could use it as a small Valentine's gift for Bob! We don't usually exchange for VDay. Instead, we like to use the money that we would have spent on gifts and go out and spend time together. But I knew that my Datevitation book would be a great addition to our day together. I also had fun on their website choosing from the 200+ fun date ideas.

Here's what my book looked like when it arrived, including some of the dates that I chose...

While I assumed Bob would be most excited about the make-out session date {ha!} he actually liked the technology-free date idea the best! And I'd have to agree with him.  We need more days like that.

Books normally start at just $20 so it makes for a thoughtful yet economical gift. But as a special treat for my followers, you can use the code JENNIBLOG for $10 off your purchase in January. That means you can get your sweetie a custom love coupon book for Valentine’s day starting at just $10!

Datevitation is giving away a free coupon book with 5 custom dates to one lucky JFTB reader!  Enter below for your chance to win...

a Rafflecopter giveaway
Winner will be chosen at random using random.org. Winner will receive a promo code for a free Datevitation gift book with 5 custom pages. Additional pages are $1 each. Winner to pay $3.50 for shipping and handling. Tax will be applied to books shipped to California. Books ship to U.S. only.

Good luck!

Carseat Sidekick Giveaway!

I'm so excited about this review and giveaway!  As soon as Mary emailed me and I went on the Carseat Sidekick website, I immediately knew that this would be a fabulous product that I would actually USE.

The Carseat Sidekick has been on Reid's infant seat for over a month now and I use it at least 4,390 times per day. It's even helped to prevent my little carseat monster {a.k.a. Brynn, who goes around the house and buckles everything together when they're not in use and then you end up trying to put the baby in the swing, bouncey seat, car seat, etc while also trying to unbuckle everything at the same time... yep, the carseat monster.  Everyone knows her too ;} from buckling the straps of Reid's carseat because they're always pulled off to the side.

The Carseat Sidekick is a cool product that you attach to the harness of the seat and then you attach the two magnetic strap holders right on the handle bar. It easily holds the straps out of the way so that you can take the baby in and out of the car seat without trying to get to the straps!

It's one of those fabulous ideas that makes you say "Hmmm, now why didn't I think of that?" ;)

I swear Reid likes it.  He just hates getting into his carseat, in general.

So check out Mary's interview below and then enter the Carseat Sidekick Giveaway! =)

1. So, tell us a little bit about yourself!
My name is Mary and I am the customer service manager for Carseat Sidekick™ and the mother of Adam Teague, who invented this handy carseat accessory. There is a great story behind his invention and you can hear about it here: About Us Video

My husband and I are part owners of this awesome company and I really love going to work everyday and seeing the Carseat Sidekick™ helping moms out.

3. How long have you been involved with this company and in what capacity?
We all realized the need for this product over two years ago, and worked together to come up with a solution. There is so much involved in seeing an invention come to fruition. Designing, testing, manufacturing and finally marketing, which started this fall. It has been both fun and fascinating to be apart of this whole process!

4. What are your favorite items and what would you recommend to others?
The Carseat Sidekick™ is a great addition to any infant carseat - and makes life so much easier for moms. I will be taking them to every baby shower I go to!

Luna and Bean Giveaway

Meet Laura, the amazing designer and Etsy shop owner of luna and bean! She is one talented lady, creating premium burp clothes for chic moms, and I'm so happy to have her as a blog sponsor on JFTB!  Please take a minute to read about Laura and enter her fabulous giveaway below!

Luna

My name is Laura and I am the designer behind luna and bean. I started sewing baby items a few years ago when a lot of my friends and family members were pregnant. I moonlight as a baby items designer at night and a graduate student by day (among other jobs and internships). Because my studies aren't exactly in the creative realm, I needed a way to express that side of my self.

I started sewing baby items a few years ago when a lot of my friends and family members were pregnant. All of my preggo friends gave me the perfect opportunity to express my creative side and before I knew it, luna and bean was born. I started my Etsy shop in January of this year hoping at best to make a few sales a month. I have been so blessed with the response to luna and bean products - it's wonderful to think that babies around the US are enjoying them!

I strive to make top quality, handmade, beautiful items that are both practical and stylish for mom and baby. Just because feeding can be messy task, who says it can't be beautiful as well? I don't necessarily have a favorite product from my shop. All of the fabrics that I use I love! I don't think that there is one fabric in my shop that I wouldn't purchase for my own future baby's nursery.

***

I actually had the opportunity to review some luna and bean items and honestly?  They're so nice I don't even want to use them!  I kid.  Sort of. I definitely plan to use them for drool and not food/bottles/spit up just because they're so nice, ha! But they feel so soft and are such great quality items.
See.  I told you they were almost too nice to use.

And Reid?  Well he loves them too.

This is his "would you please stop taking pictures and just feed me" face.  It works every time.
Isn't he so stylish? {Even with that face!}

Some of my other favorite items from luna and bean {which all would make fabulous gifts, by the way} are...
LOVE.  I almost can't stand the cute.

Now it's your turn!  luna and bean is graciously giving away a personalized matching bib and burp cloth set! Follow the options on Rafflecopter to enter the giveaway below... you have up to 12 chances to win!

Disney/Pixar Brave Giveaway!

Um, yep, that's right.  Brave.  As in the #1 Animated Film of the Year. Ahem.

From the Press Release:
An original and thrilling journey set in the ancient and magical Highlands of Scotland, “Brave” follows the heroic journey of the headstrong, young adventurer Merida. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida confronts tradition and defies an age old custom that inadvertently unleashes chaos, and forces her to discover the true meaning of bravery.

When I recieved the movie in the mail last week, I hadn't seen it yet.  I couldn't wait to pop it in the Blu-Ray player and see what all the fuss was about.  And just like any Disney/Pixar movie, it exceeded my expectations.  Merida was lovable right from the start and her fiery red hair so adequately matched her personality. This movie is fun from start to finish.  I don't think my kids {or husband} moved the entire time. From the scenery to the music to the legends within, this movie displays such loving family relationships and is all about standing up for what you believe in. Being Brave.

Andplusalso?  A female heroine. Enough said.

This movie is also jam-packed with special features and shorts {which I LOVE} that are sure to please.  "The Legend of Mor-du" was one of the best Disney/Pixar shorts that I've ever seen.  Such an amazing story and really helps piece the movie together so perfectly.

Not only did I receive this fabulous movie to review, but I'm also able to give the Brave Ultimate Collector's Edition 5-Disc Set to one lucky JFTB reader!  This set includes a Blu-ray 3D disc, 2 Blu-ray discs with shorts and special features, a DVD and a digital copy. You can enter the giveaway below... good luck!

The winner will be randomly selected by Rafflecopter and announced on November 9, 2012.

Congrats Chelsea!
{Email me and we'll get your copy of Brave to you right away!}

I received a copy of this film to review. All opinions are my own.

Borrow Baby Couture Giveaway!

Meet Heidi, one of my fabulous August sponsors and Owner/CEO of Borrow Baby Couture, a high-end designer baby/toddler clothing rental company for special occasions!

I was lucky enough to be able to review BBC myself and let me just tell you... I love it. It allowed me to put gorgeous dresses on Brynn that I wouldn't even dream of spending the money for!  It was very easy to use, the hardest part was deciding on which dresses I wanted to review!

The dresses came in a gorgeous box, which also included a pre-paid envelope and shipping label for easy returns after use.

As soon as I put the Il Gufo Knit Chevron Dress on Brynn...

... she immediately started twirling around.  She ADORED it. {And frankly, so did I.}
 SIGH.  This dress was so light and fun.  It's perfect for any summer event and/or holiday!

The other dress I picked out was the Mochino Classic Navy Pleated Dress and, I'm going to be honest, I almost didn't give it back.  It was simply gorgeous.

This dress is such high quality.  It's perfect for more formal events, such as a wedding,  baptism, Christmas party and/or professional family portraits.  It's just a stunning dress.

I hope you take a moment to read Heidi's interview below!  Also, don't forget to enter the giveaway at the bottom!!

1. So, tell us a little bit about yourself!
I'm Heidi and I am due with my second son in 2 weeks (around same exact time as Jenni!) so that is currently occupying quite a bit of time. Just started my maternity leave from my "day job" and now focusing on Borrow Baby Couture for the next few weeks. My husband and I have a 20 month old, Cobb, and are just prepping for a 2nd little boy. Currently, we live just outside Baltimore and are running everything from our warehouse down here.

2. You own/work for an awesome company, huh? Do tell!
So, my husband and I started, own & run the company (with the help of 4-5 other employees). I am technically CEO and he is CFO. Both my husband and I went to business school and knew we wanted to work for ourselves, we just needed a good idea. After having Cobb in Dec. 2010, I was AMAZED at the amount of clothing we got that he either didn't wear at all and/or wore once b/c he grew out of it so fast. Additionally, I wanted to dress him in fashionable clothing but it was so expensive - thus the idea of Borrow Baby Couture. I actually went to business school with the 2 founders of Rent the Runway and saw how successful their business model of renting dresses was and realized the same insight of "not wanting to spend so much for something you would wear once" holds for babies/toddlers/kids as much as adults. We started by signing on with some awesome designers (Fendi, Versace, Dior, Galliano, Stella McCartney) and knew we had to give this a try - getting designers to buy into the idea was the hardest part!

3. How long have you been involved with this company and in what capacity?
We have been working on the company for over a year now, but the site only launched in late June. My husband works full-time on it and I will be once this next baby comes. It took about 10-12 months to get inventory in, get the website going and cover all the logistics. We have a ton of spring inventory and are starting to get our Fall inventory in now.

We are actually launching a "private sale" site early next week where we will be selling all of our Spring inventory at record clearance prices in order to get ready for the Fall inventory. People can get there by just going through our current site and pressing on the private sale button at the top once it's posted next week - we're looking at discounts of up to 75% off retail (for new clothing that hasn't been worn yet too!)

4. What are your favorite items and what would you recommend to others?
A few favorites...the beauty and quality of each of these dresses cease to amaze me...

 5. A giveaway, you say?
Of course! We are giving away a free dress/outfit rental of your choice!  All you need to do is visit Borrow Baby Couture and then come back and leave a comment letting us know which dress/outfit you'd rent if you won!

This giveaway ends on September 7th and a winner will be announced shortly after!  Best of luck!
