Steppin' Out

I have a post coming up that is full of pictures from our fabulous Thanksgiving weekend, but first I thought I'd show you what I wore to our family pictures on Saturday!

It was such an amazing day {weekend, actually} and it was 70 degrees outside. I've never heard of such a thing so late in November! Though Brynn was simply not having Carter {or his normal shenanigans} on Saturday, Steph manged to get some really good pics of the fam {not that there was any doubt!} Post to come soon... I can't wait to show you!

What I wore...

Sweater: Macy's
Shirt: Express
Jeans: Joe's
Boots: Steve Madden
Necklace: Kohl's

This is what happens when your husband continues to take pictures as you walk back to get your camera.

Oh, and I was so excited that I just had to show you this little trick I found on Pinterest {which I didn't pin, but totally thought I did... grrr.}

Anyway, my Joe's Jeans are not skinny jeans, and therefore they're a bit hard to wear with boots. All you need to do to make this work is fold the bottoms up so that they're now kind of short on you, and then do the old school 80's tuck and tighten at the ankle {come on, you know what I'm talking about.} Don't roll them like you use too though, just tighten them at the ankle. Lastly, you just put your socks over them and they stay perfectly in your boot!
IMG_1196
Festive, huh? And they don't "bag" at the top of your boot either.
IMG_1199
Score!

Happy Cyber Monday! Did you find any good deals?? Personally all the stuff that I've been waiting to order is actually MORE expensive today. Grrrr. Hopefully someone got a good deal!

Oh, and don't forget to check out the special shopping code on my sidebar for 20% off your holiday card order!

Steppin' Out

Although I absolutely LOVE to attend them, I'm happy to announce that wedding season has officially ended in our house! {3 weddings in 4 weekends was a bit much on the ol' wallet.} But we did have a wonderful time on Saturday celebrating the wedding of a good friend of both Bob and I.

Saturday was a gorgeous fall day and Fairmount Park in Philly was perfect setting for this joyous occasion.

First, here's what I wore to this wedding...

Cardigan: The Limited
Dress: White House Black Market
Shoes: Steve Madden

After spending the whole day loving on the kiddos, we had to take them to Bob's parents house for the night, since the wedding didn't even begin until 5:30pm.Carter Man was excited to spend the night with Grammy & P-Pop!

We hit a little traffic on our way {of course... it's Philly} so we ended up having to stand in the back to watch the ceremony.

It was a little cold, but a perfect location, right!?!

He hates me.
After the ceremony, we headed inside the historic Valley Green Inn, which I just LOVE.
jk7
Inside was warm, toasty, and intimate. We had a lovely time!

Oh, and guess who was their wedding photographer? STEPH! Love this girl to pieces...
She took a few cute/funny pics of us {one of which I'm saving for my wordless post on Wednesday because it's just that HI-larious.}

Those glasses were sitting on our table. I have no idea either.
jk9
And us!
jk12
Thanks Steph!

On Sunday, we took advantage of not having any kids and slept in {ahem, until 8am} and then headed out to a quick breakfast for the first time in TWO years!
Sweater: Old Navy
Jeans: Joe's
Boots: Uggs

Wanna know what I ate? Apple Streusel French Toast. And it was pretty much the most fantastic thing I've ever eaten in my life.

After breakfast, we went and picked up the kiddos then headed to my mama's house for a family dinner! Love those!

I did head out to a furniture store with my sisters real quick and we stopped here for lunch...
LOVE the sky in that pic too. GORGEOUS.

And? I got this.
It was perfect. Nom. Just had to throw that in there, because look how good it looks.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Steppin' out to a family wedding!

Saturday was pretty terrible weather-wise... I mean it was freezing cold, raining, sleeting, snowing... you name it! In October. Blah.

But it certainly wasn't going to stop us from having a fun time at my cousin's wedding. Here are a few pics =)

Bob's new tie was a hit. LOVE it.

Oh, and last but not least... a little photo booth action:
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! And please? No more snow. At least not until Christmas Eve/Day. We had to reschedule our family pictures because of it. BOOOO. Looking like they won't happen until Thanksgiving weekend now. Oh well, I'll keep you posted!

Steppin out ON the field...

Um, so yesterday? Was slightly amazing.

A few months ago, my friend Amy entered a raffle at our college during an event that they were holding and won... get this: 4 tickets to the Phillies game yesterday which included seats in the Hall of Fame Club, dinner in the Diamond Club, a tour of the stadium, and being on the field {!!!} during the Phillies batting practice.

We about had a heart attack.

Here are a few pictures...

Amy, Troy, Bob and I on the field.

I made sure to take a pic of us standing on the field. Bob wanted to steal some dirt. He didn't. But he wanted too.
IMG_9633
Ya know, just a little batting practice.
IMG_9588
That's us. And that's Ryan Howard.
IMG_9589
J Roll. Love him.

Ryan Howard... just playing a little golf.
IMG_9617
The Phillies were playing the St. Louis Cardinals.... and that right there? Is Mark McGwire. Yep.
IMG_9630
We got to see some pretty amazing things on the tour, including standing right next to Charlie Manuel and walking right by Vance Worley in the press room... ya know, just a normal day.

I wanted to get on the stage. I thought they might tackle me though.
IMG_9637
Off to the broadcast booth.
IMG_9648
Look familiar, Phillies fans?
IMG_9649
We then headed next door to the press box. What a view from there, I'll tell ya...
IMG_9656
IMG_9657
After the tour, we headed to dinner in the Diamond Club and then took our seats in the Hall of Fame Club just as the first pitch was thrown. We had quite the view...
IMG_9669
One of my new favorite players... Hunter Pence!
IMG_9677
IMG_9675
Yeah, so not only was this day amazing enough, but the Phillies had a chance to clinch the NL East if they won the game.

They did.

What an amazing, amazing day! And I just want to send a shout out to my good friend Amy for inviting us to go with them. We had SUCH a great time with you guys! Thank you!!
